Aleksey Zalesov has been leading IP litigation counsel with major law firm in Moscow from 2001 to 2017.He has practised IP law since 1993 and has dealt with more than 250 patent and trademark litigations before Russian courts and administrative bodies. Dr Zalesov specialises in patent litigation, including infringement and validity trials. He is well known for successful invalidation of more than 40 Russian and Eurasian patents, mostly focusing on pharmaceuticals, applied science and electronics while the amount of successfully defended patents in validity trials is over 55. He has also represented clients before the Supreme Arbitration Court and the Supreme Court. Dr Zalesov has represented major foreign clients in court and the Chamber for Patent Disputes (e.g. Ferrero, Porsche, Shell, Kia Motors, Nestlé, Seiko Epson, Canon, Dyson, Sony, Rado, Ericsson, British American Tobacco, Ishida, Teva, Ratiopharm, Actavis, KRKA and Gedeon Richter).

A founder of METIDA, Reda Zaboliene has been working in IP field for over 30 years. She is Attorney-at-Law, Patent Attorney of the Republic of Lithuania and European Patent Attorney, Community Trademark and Design Attorney. During her long career she has gained vast experience representing clients in lawsuits regarding trademarks, designs and inventions.
Erikas Saukalas has almost 20 years’ experience in practicing law. He is dedicated and result-driven personality with strong leadership skills. He has been practicing as an Attorney-at-Law of the firm and is actively engaged in participating in various international conferences and is the author of many articles published in Lithuanian and international publications.
Jacekas Antulis has been working with patenting for over 10 years. He also has a scientific approach and solutions-oriented personality. Jacekas has extended experience in working at EKSMA Group companies. During his twelve years of work at high tech manufacturer, Jacekas Antulis acquired considerable experience communicating and working with customers of the Group worldwide: in Europe, the US and Asia. Natalia Samsonova worked for a major IP law firm in a litigation team for more than 7 years. Her previous experience as a researcher and co-inventor in one of the major pharmaceutical companies in Russia enables her understand the needs of the clients from their point of view. The value of her experience in patent invalidation trials and in preparing numerous freedom-to-operate and validity opinions in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology and pharmaceuticals is hard to overestimate. She's also experienced in patent drafting, always having the real goals of patenting before her. Most part of Ms. Samsonova's work was devoted to major pharmaceutical Russian and foreign companies, such as Teva, Gedeon Richter, Valenta and many others.
Irina Ozolina acted as IP litigator and then as deputy head of litigation practice with major IP law firm in Moscow, practicing IP law with focus on IP litigation since 2003. Mrs. Ozolina represented her clients (both as plaintiff and defendant) in more than 150 court and administrative IP disputes on patent, trademark and copyright enforcement matters and patent and trademark invalidation cases. She also acted as litigation counsel to the parties in numerous proceedings before the Federal Antimonopoly Service (and further appeal with the court) in unfair competition disputes (including trademark and patent right abuse disputes). Representation of the clients before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation (Senate for Economic Disputes) also forms a part of her professional experience. Mrs. Ozolina prepared a number of publications for the Russian and foreign editions specializing in IP law matters, took part in preparation of a monograph for the Austrian Chamber for Commerce and Industry regarding IP protection in BRICS countries. She is an active speaker in different national IP Events, and has vast experience in holding educational seminars for Russian science and industry on IP matters.
Margus Sarap has practiced in the field of intellectual property since 1990. He has an extensive experience in preparing and filing number of utility model and patent applications in Estonia, assisting the applicants in processing of applications. He also has experience of processing national phase of PCT in various countries. Mr. Sarap is the author of a number of articles of the problems of the protection of inventions in Estonia and abroad. He has also taken part and had lectures in the local and international seminars for entrepreneurs.
Between 2009 and 2011 Eugenijus Keras worked as a docent at Vilnius College. From 2012 to 2014 he was on a postdoctoral research on building energetics at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and visited Aalto University in Finland and the University of Liège in Belgium to raise his qualifications. Eugenijus joined METIDA’s team in 2014. He gives consultations and presents at seminars on patenting and invention protection, conducts patent search and writes articles about invention protection. He is also a co-author of one of the patented inventions. Eugenijus Keras participates in various conferences and seminars related to intellectual property law.
Evgenia Gainutdinova is a dedicated lawyer and Patent Attorney, with about 15 years of experience. From 2012 Evgenia Gainutdinova has lectured on intellectual property law in Riga Stradiņš University. Her areas of practice include Latvian national patents, European and international patent applications, and Latvian national, Community and international trademarks registrations. She represents clients before general and administrative courts, state and law enforcement authorities.
Inga Lukauskiene has been working in Metida for over 20 years. The extensive experience allows her to competently advise Lithuanian and foreign clients on the protection of trademarks, designs, copyrights and on unfair competition issues and to represent clients defending their intellectual property rights under judicial as well as extra-judicial procedure. Inga has participated in numerous conferences of international organizations such as INTA, AIPPI, seminars organized by the Lithuanian Bar Association and has written many articles on intellectual property issues, which were published in the Lithuanian and foreign press.
Laurynas Jurgaitis as a lawyer at METIDA. Currently, he is working as an attorney assistant. Laurynas Jurgaitis consults on intellectual property matters, draws up related procedural documents and prepares contracts and legal opinions on different matters to the customers. He takes part in various conferences and seminars on intellectual property, consumer rights and IT and media law.
Monika Alisauske started working in the area of intellectual property law in 2013 after she had joined the team of METIDA. Later on, in 2015 she started working as an assistant at the International Law Division of CITCO Vilnius UAB. In 2017, Monika Alisauske joined the team of Professional Law Partnership METIDA Law Firm Zaboliene and Partners for the second time. She holds the position of a lawyer in METIDA. Monika is specialized in the areas of protection of the rights to the trademarks of customers from Lithuania and foreign countries, draws up related procedural documents and consults customers on legal protection of the objects of intellectual property, competition law issues.
